What can I say?One reason I always stalled on beginning a blog was the belief that I would have a hard time sticking with it on a regular
basis. But, so what?! It's been over 2 months since my last confession... uh, I mean blog post. My
cleanse week ended up going pretty well, although was certainly less intense than previous cleanse weeks for me due to the
demands of motherhood. And now, having led 2 cleanse/detox workshops, I'm gearing up for the next thing. The
only thing is, I don't yet know what the next thing looks like. But I do have a sense of it. I've been
doing some exciting work on expanding my practice so that I can help more people with their wellness goals and should be ready
to make my big announcement by the end of the month. Can I just say, the month of May seems to be on hyper-drive this
year! Can't believe I'm already more than half way through this month. On a personal note, I've recently
rediscovered the power of probiotics. I've always known that they really help my digestive health as well as sweet cravings,
but I tried a different brand this month that has already had a huge impact on how I feel and how I eat. I'm taking
a product called Threelac by GNC. And I've noticed that my craving for sweets has changed for the better.
What's most interesting to me, is that now, when I have a cookie or some other sweet treat, I really can't eat more
than one serving. I just don't wan to have more - when, in the past, I would often have trouble 'controlling
the floodgates' when one bite of something sweet would lead to an uncontrollable binge until I'm in pain or the supply
of sugar is gone. I've only been taking it for a couple of weeks, but I'm already really loving it. When
I get to the end of the month, if I still love it, I'm going to start offering it through my site for my peeps! In
the meantime, I am looking forward to getting to see the sunshine tomorrow! I miss it so much. ~k

Wow, what a day!Today was Day 1 of cleanse and day 1 of anything is usually the hardest, so I'm glad I'm at the end of it. Here's
what I ate: 12 oz Green Smoothie: Banana+Tangerine+Spinach+Frozen Mango & Cherries+Water+1 scoop Hemp/Maca/Flax
protein powder 2 herbal teas steamed broccoli+avocado puree with dulse flakes 2 apples w/ 1 TBSP almond
butter brown rice+lentils with spices green salad: romaine+carrot+celery+red bell pepper+radish sprouts+5 kalamata
olives+cider vinegar and olive oil I felt very tired all day. Willem woke at 5am today and I laid in bed until 5:30
hoping he would go back to sleep, which he did not. Didn't feel very hungry at breakfast (I made buckwheat crepes for
Wim & John) and my green smoothie was completely satisfying. Took Willem for a walk and took lots of nice deep breaths.
Then became very hungry. Around lunch time I started feeling achy in my abdomen, but it passed after about an hour. After
Willem went down for a nap at 12, I was able to stretch a little and meditate, but I kept dosing off while trying to meditate.
Made it through the rest of the day, missing food a little, but more excited that I'm finally doing this for me.
I know some people find that hard to believe, but after doing this more than a few times in my life, I really do enjoy it.
Plus, I have a great excuse to go to bed early... which I'm going to do NOW! ~k
